My name is Tom and I am a photographer based in Essex, England. I have been interested in wildlife my whole life and started birdwatching from quite a young age, helped by the fact I was an Essex Wildlife Trust volunteer for many years during my teens. I started using a camera to capture the natural world pretty much as soon as I started birdwatching. Since 2021 I have also been capturing animals within zoos, this has kind of taken over my life at this point, travelling around the country capturing the lives and stories of the wildlife held to help support conservation efforts around the world. Over the years I have continued to learn more and more about the animals I photograph and I am constantly trying to improve my work, from the way I use my camera to my editing techniques.
My equipment:
Canon R7
Canon RF 100-500mm
Sigma 100-600mm
